      Amgen Job Description

      •The Supply Chain Sr. Specialist will support supply chain initiatives to improve business processes, reporting and metrics through the enhancement of the global supply chain planning system.


      •Aptitude to marry user requests, supply chain design, and ad hoc reporting and apply that consolidated understanding to the update/enhancement of RapidResponse.


      •Effectively work with diverse teams as well as up and down the management structure to drive the standardization of processes across the SAP and RapidResponse systems.


      •Work closely with IS business analysts to ensure Supply Chain requirements are appropriately designed, tested and implemented in production environment per timeline.


      •The ideal candidate will have strong planning skills and be familiar with key supply chain concepts and their implementation.


      •Under minimal supervision perform system, reporting and data administration activities in RapidResponse enabling demand / supply planning as well as finance /accounting data reporting


      •Develop system solutions working with business partners to provide tools / reports enabling the supply chain customer to manage material inventories, production schedules, orders and scrap corporate targets.


      •Must be able to manage multiple priorities. Must possess excellent mathematics skills. Must be skilled in the use of Excel and Word software. Must have experience with spreadsheets and schedules. Must have effective written and verbal communications skills.


      •Successfully completing operational objectives and improving existing systems and processes within scope of responsibility.


      •Ensures all work is completed with minimal disruption and in compliance with all cGMP guidelines and Amgen procedures.


      •Require minimal supervision to perform project management in supporting the Corporate Planning organization; demonstrate project management skills via effectively initiating then leading cross-functional project teams, providing clear /concise project scope, deliverable, status updates at key milestones, and ultimately producing a quality project deliverable per established timelines.

       

      Basic Qualifications

      Doctorate degree & 2 years of directly related experience
      OR
      Master’s degree & 6 years of directly related experience
      OR
      Bachelor’s degree & 8 years of directly related experience
      OR
      Associate’s degree & 10 years of directly related experience
      OR
      High school diploma / GED & 12 years of directly related experience

       

      Preferred Qualifications

      Masters degree in Business Administration.
      - 5 or more years experience in production planning & scheduling.
      - CPIM certification through American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS)
      - BS in business, operations, life science, or logistics
      - 5+ years relevant experience in supply chain management
      - ERP systems experience
      - Experience with relational databases and ad hoc queries
      - Understanding of database fundamentals
      - Experience in
      Masters degree in Business Administration.

      - Strong experience and capability with Excel, Word, Visio and MS Project
