      Commodity Co-Planner-Semiconductor
      Large telecommunications top Fortune 100 company looking for a Supply Chain planner with experience in the Semiconductor industry.

      Advanced (Expert) Excel skills are crucial!!!! - pivots, vlookups, creating templates to pull the data from different sources into excel and creating reports, charts. Transferring them to powerpoint for presentation and communication with suppliers

      This person needs to have experience interacting with semiconductor suppliers before- since this tends to be a high spend area with large players like IBM/TI/Samsung/Micron etc.

      Key activities for set commodities in Semiconductors space:
      Weekly:
      - Supply demand balancing using existing tools – Excel, Kinaxis
      - Provide demand visibility to suppliers
      - Review demand signal, understand changes from previous week. Liaison with supply planners to provide cadence via demand waterfall.
      - Engage with suppliers to ensure supply coverage.
      - ROP sizing to meet changed demand profile. Suggest and own recommendations for changes to ROP to ensure continuity of supply- risk mitigation.
      - Troubleshoot supply-demand gaps, suggest alternate supply options
      - Understand supply picture and update/ maintain supply visibility templates.
      - GSM interface:
      - Attend weekly war room meetings regarding short parts.
      - Provide demand waterfalls to GSM to aid expedites/ shortage remedial actions .
      - Drive analysis to understand excess inventory/ shortage situations
      Monthly:
      - Monthly S&OP process with suppliers
      - Refresh monthly forecast- share with suppliers
      - Ask for an receive supply/ capacity picture from suppliers
      - Analyze supply- demand in the right capacity buckets, identify gaps.
      - Run monthly S&OP meetings to match supply-demand, and suggest alternatives for any gaps (alternate suppliers, supply pull-in/ push-out)
      - Maintain publish metrics
      - Forecast accuracy
      - Inventory turns
      - Long term Supply-demand coverage- Q+1 to Q+4 horizon.
      - Engineering / NPI interface: Engage with BU’s / appropriate counterparties to review new products/ new CPN’s to be launched. Ensure visibility to demand.
      - GSM Interface:
      - Attend monthly/ quarterly business review meeting with suppliers- led by GSM
      - Present monthly metrics package to suppliers.
