      Position Responsibilities:

      Reporting to the Logistics Manager for a multi-billion dollar global organization. The Demand Planning Specialist will operate as an individual contributor responsible for effective leadership of the demand planning function. Responsible for managing an overall demand and supply plan to support a material requirements planning process across the supply chain with a focus on the operations and capital projects. Will work cross functionally and serve as an integration point for all input of forward looking demand and supply planning environment. Will be viewed as a demand planning subject matter expert responsible for improving forecast accuracy through performing advanced planning solutions and continuous improvement activities while identifying cost reduction opportunities as well as influence and driving change. Must have the interpersonal skills necessary to work cross functionally in matrix environment both internally and externally to see the big picture and enhance the entire supply chain. Challenge is to drive improvement in material availability, minimize gap between demand supply plan and maximize available finish goods to the customer.

       

      Background Required:

      ·         Demand Planning Processes (7 years)

      ·         Comprehensive knowledge of material planning

      ·         Statistical Forecasting 

      ·         History of using statistical forecast to drive the demand planning process

      ·         Demonstrated success in stabilizing demand and supply in the materials planning function

      ·         Project Management with multi-functional teams

      ·         Continuous improvement initiatives

      ·         Knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

      ·         Knowledge of Advance Planning tools (i.e. Kinaxis, SAP Advanced Planner & Optimizer, i2)

      ·         Ability to travel up to 40%

      ·         Computer literate (i.e. MS Office)

      ·         Education: Bachelor’s degree 

      ·         Location: Houston, TX (relocation assistance)

       

      Background Preferred (but not required):

      ·         Energy, Oil or Gas industry

      ·         Demonstrated formalized process improvement initiatives (i.e. lean, six sigma, quality)

      ·         Industry relevant certifications (i.e. APICS, ISM, Six Sigma, LEAN)

      ·         Advanced Degree - MBA
