      P&R Practice

      The P&R practice serves major clients in the retail, manufacturing & logistics, consumer goods, travel & hospitality and energy and utility. In this space, we serve major clients. Our business consulting practice provides management consulting services to our clients with an emphasis on providing strategy and operations consulting. We provide consulting support to both the business and the IT functions.

       

      • Provide project leadership and direction on one or more projects while maintaining a high quality level of service.  Ensure quality on all deliverables.
      • Develop and manage client relationships on projects
      • Manage delivery dates, resourcing and schedules
      • Facilitate project execution by providing support in project-level issue resolution and management of scope
      • Help build, lead, and develop Kinaxis team of onshore/offshore consultants
      • Identify and pursue up-sell opportunities
      • Contribute to business development through activities such as pre-sales client presentations, research, and writing proposal, RFP responses and SOWs
      • Have the ability to position industry insights as they pertain to client needs & requirements
      • Deeply understand their client’s business challenges, and provide thought leadership in addressing these issues
      • Work proactively to bring the best of Cognizant expertise to our client(s)
      • Support implementation and go live for Kinaxis solutions for capacity planning and constraints management
      • Perform business analysis for client
      • Conduct Requirements Gathering workshops with SMEs
      • Design new business processes and systems
      • Have the ability to develop functional & user acceptance test plans, scenarios and scripts for new code/systems deployment
      • Have the ability to manage application implementations
      • Work with business intelligence applications
      • Have the ability to design and develop reports in reporting tools
      • Provide Production support
      • Provided training and support documentation
      • Provide technical consulting on operations and systems

      Qualifications

       

      Basic Requirements:

      The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in Kinaxis product knowledge, rapid response solution knowledge, implementation knowledge,  around one or more of the following:

      • Knowledge of Functional areas in Manufacturing (E.g.   MRP, Inventory Control, Demand Scheduling, Production Planning, Shop Floor Control, Capacity Planning, Constraints Management, Sales & Distribution   etc.)
      • Knowledge of Functional areas in Capacity Planning and Constraints Management 
      • Business Processing Mapping (As-Is/To-Be) & Gap Analysis and Functional Requirements Management
      • Business Process Re-engineering
      • Project Planning & Implementation
      • System Integration, Validation and Deployment
      • Knowledge of MRP/ERP implementation methodology and associated quality assurance processes
      • Manufacturing Process Management Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a supply chain COTS product consulting with a management and/or technology consulting firm
      • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Kinaxis product consulting 
      • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences
      • Ability to travel up to 50%
      • Minimum Bachelor’s level Degree required

       

      Preferred Requirements:

       

      • Ability to develop white papers and points of view to promote eminence and client engagement
      • Proven ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities
      • Experience building deep client relationships and identifying client's priority needs for service and support
      • Knowledge of process flows, systems and procedures which aids analysis and recommendations for solution offerings to exploit new business opportunities
      • Ability to manage teams of consultants and work with cross functional and client facing teams
      • A positive, results oriented style, evidenced by listening, motivating, delegating, influencing, and monitoring the work being done to develop the next generations of leaders
      • Experience working in an on/off-shore model
      • An extremely high level of energy, sense of urgency, creativity, and decisiveness coupled with the ability/willingness to work hard and well under pressure
      • An engaging and open interpersonal style complemented by the analytical pragmatism necessary to quickly dissect highly complex issues
      • Ability to establish immediate credibility among peers; a professional who is respected for intelligence and technical expertise
      • Master's Degree in Business/Management or equivalent highly preferred
