      Job Description

      Overall Purpose

      Work closely with the AD, Procurement DA&R to improve the quality, timeliness and depth of Patheon's global direct and indirect material spend data and reporting.  Across the enterprise work closely with Patheon's Contract Manufacturing (CMO) and Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) sites and all necessary functions (e.g., IT) to improve, and develop as required, business processes and Information System configurations critical to the generation and capture of data elements necessary to effectively manage Patheon's global spend base.

      Specific Job Duties

      • Provide analysis necessary to support global procurement activities and support monthly and quarterly spend and variance reporting, cost center analysis, budget preparation, management presentations, scorekeeping methodology, developing and maintaining KPI’s, etc. - 30%
      • In collaboration with IT, Finance and QA, manage or assist with projects to provide the tools to support global procurement analytics, including spend cube (category and item spend, unit prices, etc.), data warehouse, contract database/management system, contract compliance, vendor approval, project database and management, SAP improvements, material categorization, vendor master, etc. - 30%
      • Build supplier relationship management capability, including vendor master, new vendor approval, vendor risk analysis and delivery performance - 15%
      • Assist in developing and implementing improved procurement processes and transferring best practices, such as PO processes at sites - 15%
      • Support procurement policy development and implementation - 10%
      • Other duties as assigned



      Must Haves:

      • 4 year relevant degree
      • 5-10 years of previously related experience
      • Very good knowledge of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Power Point & Project)
      • Ability to understand and perform cleansing & enrichment on High Volume Data
      • Basic knowledge of project managementprocess
      • Well organized and able to work independently with limited supervision and able to prioritize multiple tasks
      • Knowledge of SAP or other ERPs, and financial and operational processes associated with Patheon’s supply chain
      • Good inter-personal and communication skills (both oral and written)
      • Capable of working across different geographical demographics and cultures
      • Demonstrated commitment to our fundamental principles of integrity, respect and excellence



      • Knowledge of other IT applications and reporting platforms
      • Expertise with any e-procurement or electronic sourcing and spend analysis platforms.  CPM and/or CPIM certification
      • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (if not a must have).
