We currently have a challenging and rewarding position in our Bayport Maintenance Department for a Maintenance Mechanic Planner/Scheduler-Pump Shop



      • Evaluate all non-emergency maintenance notifications to create work orders with step by step instructions for completing the request
      • Develop detailed job plans for all maintenance notifications detailing manpower, task durations, supporting crafts, parts/materials, and equipment
      • Act as liaison between Production and Maintenance to coordinate all planned maintenance work performed at the site
      • Create the Daily and Weekly Maintenance Work Schedule for their respective craft (s)
      • Work with Operation and Maintenance staff to developing value added preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all equipment throughout the plant
      • Responsible for both long rand and short range maintenance planning
      • Assist in stores stocking and deletion of parts for any and all equipment associated with the craft they are supporting
      • Evaluates completed work orders for capitalization on all high cost repairs or replacement units as needed
      • Point of contact for outside vendors and services utilized for planned maintenance activities

        Other duties as assigned






      • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the related craft/field
      • Proficiency in Microsoft OFFICE and SAP
      • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills
      • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
      • Detail oriented and the ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through
      • Prior experience in chemical plant and familiar with plant equipment
      • Knowledge of Maintenance craft disciplines
      • Detailed knowledge of craft lines and responsibilities
      • Demonstrated skill in handling multiple tasks at once to accomplish the overall goal
      • Thorough knowledge of plant safety policies and procedures
      • Self-starter; takes initiative and good time management skills



      • 1 to 3 years of experience planning and scheduling maintenance work
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Project
      • AAS or Bachelor’s degree
