    organization structure change when move to use finite planning solution

      My company is planning to implement the advance planning system (APS)with capacity and material constraint capability to replace the current infinite planning tools. Anyone can advise what should my organization need to be ready for the new tool. For example today, we have about 7 planners, each responsible for their products(by custmers). With the APS, do we need to organize differently such that their is a way to control the sharing of resources and capacities. Is there a need to break the planners’ role to be master planners and schedulers? This is especially crucial when the planner need to slot in orders or reprioritize their orders, the may not neccessary know how much it will impact another planner's orders which is using the same capacity .Anyone has an idea of best practice model?
