      Location:  Phoenix, AZ

       

      Under the direction of the Commercial Propulsion Global Planning Manager, the “Sr. Global Planner” will develop production plans and provide analysis for the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) organization, specifically ensuring efficient planning and flow of materials throughout the entire supply chain from the supply base to support original equipment product shipments and aftermarket spares for both new and rotable parts stocking in global distribution centers.  Work with business and demand organization to determine requirements and develop production build plans which meet objectives, optimize inventory investment, and facilitate efficient utilization of manufacturing resources.  This role may span across multiple sites and time zones.                                 

      The Sr. Global Planner will also be responsible for driving and implementing best practices and Global Planning Vision to positively impact key planning performance indicators and metrics; not limited to inventory $’s, inventory days of supply and turns, safety stock health, planning messages, part health, etc.


      Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
      •        Creates, maintains, and ensures execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for production to support the objectives of assigned products globally.
      •        Manage demand, Drive supply plan, and Execute shipment releases to support Aftermarket demand.
      •        Project sales opportunity and inventory relief in support of SBU AOP commitments.
      •        Works closely with Sourcing organization to ensure detail part support of MPS plan.
      •        Interfaces with Cell Managers and Cell Planners via SIOP to assure master production schedule is within cell capacity constraints.
      •        Identify shortfalls to plan and propose strategies to overcome shortfalls.
      •        Utilize tools to analyze global inventory for a specific product group and align for optimal service level performance with optimal inventory in global network.            
      •        Plan and execute production and delivery of OEM and Aftermarket  products to optimize customer OTTR, OTD, Past Due, MPS Starts and Finishes, TAT, Linearity, and other performance goals.
      •        Support revenue and inventory planning activities, participate in tiered accountability process, and interface with SBU contacts to ensure closed loop feedback.
      •        Plan and Execute OEM, and Aftermarket plan for end unit sales, spares sales and rotable bank health
      •        Attend and contribute in a multitude of planning meetings including, but not limited to: Tier 2 and Tier 3 daily planning meetings, allocation meetings, CSB meetings, etc.
      •        Utilizes Kinaxis Rapid Response workbooks such as Line of balances to improve supply/demand alignment through re-balancing inventory across sites, driving expedites within execution and sourcing functions, and escalating shortages as necessary.
      •        Investigate and validate the accuracy of data systems and processes, maintenance of supply chain reporting tools / systems (SAP, Servigistics, Kinaxis, BO functionality)
      •        Utilize various planner scorecards and dashboards to drive improvements in metrics
      •        Continually improves expertise in global initiatives

       

      Qualifications

      Basic Qualifications:
      • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline
      • Minimum 2 years experience in Materials Planning/Procurement
      • Minimum 2 years experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
      Additional Qualifications:
      • APICS CPIM, CSCP and/or CIRM Strongly Preferred
      • Advanced Degree (MBA) is a plus
      • SAP or Servigistics ERP system.
      • Six Sigma Green Belt, achieved
      • Proven SAP and/or Servigistics and/or Kinaxis RapidResponse knowledge and experience
      • Familiar with best in class materials management and planning practices
      • Analytical and complex problem-solving skills a plus
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to function in unsupervised environment
      • Ability to take calculated risks and challenge the status quo
      • High degree of initiative and ownership, attention to detail, and the discipline to follow through on assigned tasks
