You know, we recently covered Tremont Electric as a "green supply chain" success story.
Roughly 90% of Tremont Electric components are sourced from local companies, a decision that was made to help maintain a small carbon footprint. Even non-local suppliers were chosen with a required distance in mind to ensure the supply chain was small and manageable. Surprisingly, this decision has led to a lot of cost-savings, and actually made it easier for them to scale.
Thanks for your response and perspective regarding local sourcing and sustainable supply chains. Are there any challenges you face with local sourcing which you overcame?
