Interesting article here on Six Sigma use within European companies. I found this quote to be compelling:
"In Europe, as opposed to the US, the management of such a strategy across a continent of different languages and cultures is an obstacle that must be overcome for some companies that transcend Europe – in firms that simultaneously are striving to apply Six Sigma in various departments in their company."
As we know, organizational change is never easy, but change that extends beyond geographic and cultural boundaries poses distinct and significant challenges.
I found this article's title, "Six Sigma: Europe’s most successful adopters," to be somewhat misleading. By my count, only two companies are named. Surely there are more that can be added to the list.
